Pasquale Nesca: My name is Pasquale Nesca, 56 years old, primary school teacher from september 1991, in the Adult Education from september 2008. Considerable experience in international projects having, perhaps first in Taranto province (late 90s), initiated and coordinated 3 Comenius projects for the primary school and a Grundtvig project in the school years 2013/14 and 2014/15. Having worked for three years in London as a teacher of Italian language in English schools and for 2 years in Madrid in the prestigious Italian school, as the winner of a public competition based on qualifications and examinations at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, has also improved the knowledge of respective foreign languages, necessary for the management of international projects. Travelling and knowing new people and different culture is my favourite hobby.

Anna Conte: My name is Anna Mariza Conte, I ‘m 43 years old and I teach Italian Language in the CPIA, a Center for Adult Education in Taranto, Italy. In this particular kind of school, I focalize my attention on the students’ intellectual and emotional growth. In order to get better results, I adopt several strategies and I hope I’ll use the Flipped Classroom. Flipped classroom is a very successful method which combines traditional and emotional teachings mixed together. Student is at the very center of the educational process and , while he experiences work group, cooperative learning and peer teaching , at the same time he assimilates new contents without effort, in an easy way. To do this , it is important teachers’ role who supervise and lead the students.
I like travelling and getting touch with different cultures, languages and countries.

Marco Pina: I’m 43 years old and I teach mathematic, technic and science into the CPIA Taranto to adult students. I’m an computer science engineering and until the august of 2016 I’ve worked into the Mechanical Department of the University of Calabria (where I’ve get the degree) as computer science expert. Since 2000 I’ve made several research about Virtual and Augmented Reality and finally in September of 2016 I started to teach.

In the last year I’ve used my skill on computer to manage the web site of the CPIA and all informatics/elettronics device of the school and its external branchs. Also I support all my collegues to improve their known about computer and all his tools

Arianna Crivelli:, I’m 37 years old. I have a degree in Classical Literature (with a thesis in Late antique Archaeology), a teaching qualification to secondary school and a specialization in Medieval Archeaology. I started to teach in 2010. I work in CPIA Taranto from 2014. I teach Italian language, History and Geography. I think it’s a beautiful experience to work in my school because I can improve my didactic experience with many methods and between these there is inverted classroom.

Patrizia Di Lauro: My name is Patrizia Di Lauro. I am the head teacher of the “don Bosco”

comprehensive school, that is one of the school providing adult education in the province of Taranto. I have been involved in a Grundtvig project in the school year 2013/14 and 2014/15 and I liked it very much. I like travelling and knowing new people.

 

 Viviana Galluzzo: I am Viviana Galluzzo, I am 39 years old and I am a teacher of French from Taranto, Italy.
I have worked as a teacher from 2005.
In 2012 I decided to change and I chose the school where I am now, CPIA, that focus on adult education and immigrants education too. It is very interesting and stimulating !
I am sure that Erasmus experience will contribute to increase my skills.
I like travelling and know different cultures, I also like photography and visual arts.

Iberika Education Group gGmbH (Germany)

Idoia Martinez: Idoia Martinez is the CEO of iberika education group gGmbH. She has a degree in Economics and MA in Spanish / English, with a focus on Linguistics. She also holds a Master’s degree on Bilingualism in children. In the period 2006-2012 she has been involved in supervision of all LLP projects carried out by iberika; research into innovative language learning methods for migrants and children; development of books, audio CDs and DVDs; preparation of marketing and dissemination strategies. Since 1990 she has occupied several positions as language instructor and teacher trainer. From 1996 to 2001 she was a lecturer and tutor at the Technical University in Berlin, coordinating over 60 teachers. At the university she was also in charge of course planning and student supervision, organisation and planning of the language teaching programmes and didactic quality control. Since 1996 she is the director of the iberika Group. She is working on project management since 2007 and is the CEO of iberika education Group gGmbH since 2012. 

 

Jessica Borniger: is studying her Master’s in Global Studies as part of a dual program between Leipzig University and Roskilde University in Denmark. She started at Iberika as a TEFL certified English teacher in 2014 and have been working on English content development for Erasmus programs since 2015.

 

 

Monica Seemann: Monica Seemann holds a degree in Intercultural Communication (English/French) from the Humboldt University in Berlin. She is a certified teacher for German as a Foreign Language. In the period 2010- 2015 she occupied the position of office manager at iberika education group gGmbH. Since 2013 she has been working as a member of the EU projects department of the organization. The projects, which she has been involved in, include European Migrant Adviser Toolkit (EMAT, 2011-4470/001-001), Language Interpreter Training as a Stepping Stone to Work (LITTSW, 2012-1-GB2-LEO05-07809), Pathways to Host Country Languages for Migrants (L2PATHS, 543020-LLP-1-IT-KA2-KA2MP) and The Mall Guidebook for Language Trainers (MALL Guide, 2015-1-DE02-KA204-00238). Since 2015 she has also been working as a teacher for German as a Foreign Language for refugees (13-16 years old) at a secondary school. Monica Seemann is a volunteer at two other NGOs where she is dealing with translation.

Anna Tetereva: I have studied German at the Moscow City University and earned my Ph.D. in German as a foreign language. At the moment, I am studying Russian and German at the Humboldt University in Berlin to become a teacher. I started at Iberika as an intern, but now I am an integration course teacher for German and also develop learning materials for the projects of the school.

 

 

Paula Palacios: Paula Palacios graduated in Communication and holds a Master’s degree in Audiovisual Management issued by the University of Seville (Spain). In Seville she worked in communication and gained experience in coordinating culture projects. Since 2014 she has been working as a member of the EU project department of iberika. Her work experience includes Medilingua (2013-1-PL1-LEO05-37769), Moving to the Margins of Society (538535-LLP-1-2013-UK-Grundtvig-GMP) and Golic Guide (2014-1-PL01-KA202-003400). She also coordinated a project funded by the Spanish Embassy in Berlin aimed to support migrated young people through tailor-made German classes and professional coaching. Jose María Reyes Cazalla: I am an art teacher at the IEDA in Camas (Seville). I studied my degree in Fine Arts (specialising in sculpture) at the University of Seville (1994-1999) and other courses about design at Barcelona University. I was an associate professor at the Department of Sculpture in Fine Arts in Seville. Since then I have  been an art teacher but I have also had art exhibitions  in Madrid, Seville, Leganés and other towns in Spain, too. Alistair Watson:  I am the coordinator of the project for the IEDA. I have been teaching English since 1991, starting in Quito, Ecuador, then London before finally moving to Seville in 1994. I hold a degree in Law from Cambridge and in English Philology from Seville University.  I became a secondary school teacher in 2006 and started at the IEDA in 2012, where I have worked, among other things, on creating materials for the Language School and for preparation courses for entry to vocational training. I am very interested in all aspects of Education 2.0, from HTML5 to Flipped classroom and PBL.

 

Lourdes Olmos Juárez:  I have a degree in Tourism and Staff Management. I have worked as a Hospitality and Tourism teacher since 2004. Currently, I work at the IEDA teaching  vocational training. My main academic interests concern the use of PLE (Personal Learning Environment), PBL (Project Based Learning), Adult Education and Spanish as a Foreign Language. I published the book “Estructura del Mercado Turístico” in 2011. Apart from my job, I travel and run a blog, El viaje de Lu.

 

 

Betania Alba Pérez:  I studied my degree in English Philology at the University of Granada and got my post as an English teacher in 2008 without any previous experience in the educational field.  Although my teaching career has been short, I have worked in many different situations, types of schools and with diverse students’ profiles, such as: schools located in socially disadvantaged environments, students with special needs, different vocational training courses (cooking, administration, etc.), adults, distance learning, etc. In 2012, I landed at the IEDA where I keep learning every day not only about e-learning environments and the use of new technologies in education but also about new pedagogical methods and how to forge a better teacher-student relation.

Marta Villanueva Humanes:  I got my Degree in English Philology in 1996 (University of Seville) and I have been teaching English both in private and public institutions since then teaching students of all ages, from little children to adults in different situations.  I have worked as a distant learning teacher at IEDA since 2012. For me, it was a professional challenge to learn how to use new technologies in education but now I don’t think I could teach without them.  Being a teacher at IEDA gives me the opportunity to keep posted on new learning methodologies based on technological tools and become a better teacher.

 

 

Carmen Piña Duarte: I got my degree in Spanish Philology from the University of Seville in 1990. I stayed there for two years more working   on computational  linguistics with a grant from  IBM. I became a teacher in 1992 and since then I have been teaching Spanish language and literature. I have been always interested in using new technologies to teach. That’s the reason why I came to IEDA three years ago. I changed teenagers for adults and I must recognize that I am very happy helping people who couldn’t afford to study when they were younger. I am always interested in knowing more about e-learning environments  and everything that helps me to be better at my job.

Instituto Politécnico de Leiria (Portugal)

Filipe Santos: I am a professor at the Polytechnic Institute of Leiria since 1998. I teach Technology Enhanced Learning and have been participating in some European funded projects on the use of technologies in informal, non-formal and formal learning contexts. My main academic interests concern the design and use of innovative Virtual Learning Environments.

 

 

Antónia Barreto: I am a teacher at the IPL for 30 years on Education Sciences and Research Methodologies. My main academic interests are adult training, school evaluation, lifelong learning and education for development.

 

 

 

Pedro Costa: Pedro Costa, 40 years, graduated in Electrical Engineering at the Polytechnic Institute of Leiria, is post-graduate in 6 Sigma – Black Belt and is, since 1997, collaborator of IPLeiria.
He began his professional career in 1991, having exercised its activity in various marketing logistics companies and others.
He is currently Head of President´s Office and Head of bureau of planning and strategic development. Held various management positions, having been, in 2006, the coordinator of the internal reorganization of financial and human resources departments of IPLeiria.

Guðjónína Sæmundsdóttir:  Guðjónína (Ína) Sæmundsdóttir is the Manager at MSS. She is educated as Tourism Manager from Högskolen in Lillehammer, diploma in statistics from University in Oslo and as a Career councellor from the University of Iceland. As well as managing MSS she is responsible for organising domestic as well as international projects with MSS, and supervising cooperation between MSS and lifelong learning centres both domestically and internationally.

Ína is known as the doer and to use Ok often in e-mail responses within MSS

 

Eydís Eyjólfsdóttir: Eydís Eyjólfsdóttir works as a Finance Manager at MSS. Eydís has a  Commersical Diploma from the Commerscial College in Iceland. Eydís main responsibilities with MSS is accounting and other finance matters. Eydís is the finance manager in  both domestic and international projects.

Eydís is known as the kind and friendly one within MSS

 

Áslaug Bára: works as project manager and tudor wih MSS. Áslaug has a Bachelors degree in Sociology and a DP degree in andragogy on Masters level from the University of Iceland. Áslaug´s responsibilities with MSS include Organisation-, development of study material- and educational technique for adult/mature students. Aslaug further teaches sociology courses in Grunnmenntaskólinn

Unnar Sigurðsson: Unnar Stefan works as project manager and teacher at MSS. Unnar Stefan is a multitasker with education in carpentry, electric, police and has a Bachelor’s degree in Theology from University of Oslo and Icelandic medieval with diploma on Masters Level in pedagogy from the University of Iceland. Unnar work most in teaching and lectures within MSS.

Unnar favored phrase towards his students is „this is a GREAT question”.

 

Særún Ástþórsdóttir: Særún works as project manager and teacher at MSS. She has a Bachelors degree in Education and is currently studying andragogy on a masters level at the University of Iceland. Særún‘s main responsibilities include designing and organising courses, course development and teaching. As a teacher her favourite subject is Icelandic with particular emphasis on writing.

Særún is said to be both fun and well organised

 

Sveindís Valdimarsdóttir:  works as project manager and teacher at MSS. Sveindís has a Bachelors degree in Education from the University of Iceland. Sveindís main responsibilities with MSS include organising Icelandic courses for immigration, companies and institutions. Sveindís is also a icelandic teacher at MSS.

Sveindís is know as the colorful diva within MSS

 

María Rós Skúladóttir: María Rós works as a project manager at MSS. Maria has a degree in Social work. Maria is responsible for educational programs and courses at MSS as well making use of her counselor degree on different occasions.

Maria is well known for her love of chocolate

 

 

Jónína Magnúsdóttir: Jónína works as career councellor, project manager and teacher at MSS. She has a B.ed degree in teaching from the Univeristiy of Iceland and a postgraduate diploma in Carrier Counselling and Guidance. Jónína has worked in adult education for seven years. Her main topics are counselling both individuals and groups with little or no formal enducation, goal setting, helping people upgrading skills on the jobmarket, self empowerment, validation for individuals who want to get their experience validated for further education.

Jónína is know to be alway‘s in it to win it

 Steinunn Björk Jónatansdóttir: Steinunn Björk Jónatansdóttir is a Career counsellor at MSS. She has a Bachelors degree in pedagogic and career counselling from the University of Iceland. Steinunn‘s responsibilities is educational and vocational guidance as well as supporting our students. Steinunn teaches learning techniques and self-improvement. She also teaches classes where participants upgrade their skills on the job market, enhance their job searching skills and self-empowerment.

Steinunn is known for her catching infectious laughter.

 

Arndís Harpa Einarsdóttir: Arndís Harpa Einarsdóttir is a Career counsellor at MSS. She also works as a guidance counselor in a primary school. She has a B.ed degree in teaching from the Univeristiy of Iceland and a diploma in counselling and also in management education from the University of Iceland. Arndís Harpa is one of two advisors in the MSS who is taken a part in the e Rasmus project GOAL. Its purpose is to develop ways and tools to reach out to people with little formal education and those who are least likely to seek for counselling. Arndís Harpa also give counselling to immigrants who study in MSS.

Arndís Harpa is known to be the positive and optimistic person by nature.

Porsgrunn Adult Education Centre (Norway)

Torgeir Standal: I am working as a teacher and adviser at Porsgrunn Voksenopplæringssenter. At the moment, my main field is Norwegian language teaching and helping the participants with their career planning. For many years my job was related to course-design and getting immigrants into jobs.  I have also been, and still am, responsible for the administration of our entity’s international activities. This implies that I represent Porsgrunn Adult Education Centre as the coordinator of this ICON project.

 

 

Rafidah Baba Ahmad: At Porsgrunn Voksenopplæringssenter, my area of resposibility overlaps between finance, HR and student administration. In ICON, I am the liason person with the other Partners. I created an efficient workflow in accordance to the National Agency’s guidelines, manage all Claims by Partners and monitor the budget for the project. I follow the ICON project with great interest and have tried hands-on making instructional videos. As I am currently doing my Masters online, being in the project is like seeing  the ‘behind the scenes’ of the teaching videos. Prior to joining Porsgrunn Voksenopplæringssenter,  I taught Marketing under the Norwegian high school curriclum, as well as Economics under the International Baccalaurate Diploma program. The best achievement in my career so far is the success of establishing an South-East Asia recruitment/marketing office in Malaysia, for a UK public university.

 

 

Birger Giskehaug: I have studied at the Academy of Telemark, at Notodden Academy of Teacher education. My main teaching subjects are mathematics and science, but I also teach environmental studies and music. I have been working in the elementary school, with pupils of age 13-16 year, since 1985. In November 2016 I started to work as leader of the Elementary School Section at Porsgrunn Adult Education Centre. My interest in the flipped classroom methodology began in 2012, when I produced some educational videos for my math class. In my spare time I prefer outdoor life, especially birdwatching and nature photography.

 

Monthipa Silo Gauslaa: I am working as a bilingual teacher at Porsgrunn Adult Education Centre, Bilingual Department, and editor for www.morsmal.no , responsible for the Thai web area. www.morsmal.no is a national project by NAFO, National Center for Multicultural Education. The website is a great tool for teachers, parents and students. As a bilingual teacher, I assist students from Thailand who are new in Norway to be ready for primary and secondary school in the normal Norwegian education system.
